Surftrackr and Django under MS Windows

Feb 23rd 2008

It's quite feasible to run Surftrackr under Windows, without any modifications to the code. I've just uploaded a PDF with a walk-through of the necessary steps.

It's quite long-winded, since much of the software which you'll find pre-installed on a Linux box has to be downloaded and installed manually under Windows. However, the configuration is fairly easy, and all the software is free. There are one or two issues (none of them very severe) which are detailed in the PDF document.

I would be interested in your experiences getting this to work under Windows, particularly if it goes wrong! Email me if you find any errors, omissions or bugs, and let me know your ideas and suggestions for improving Surftrackr.
