A new version has been uploaded and is now available from the Surftrackr download site. This release includes several improvements to data acquisition and user management - read on for more details.
Data can now be acquired directly from your proxy's logfiles - see the installation instructions for details.
Support has been added for Dan's Guardian CSV logfiles, although only in logfiles.py, not the live-logging script (surftrackr-livelog.py). I'll update when I get time. Thanks to Paul Bielecki for taking the time to add this feature.
User profiles have been added for Surftrackr users. In addition to the built-in features which come with any Django installation (basically allowing you to control which admin features users can access) the new Surftrackr allows you to control which front-page options are available to your users. If you don't want them performing ad-hoc searches, just remove the 'Search' permission from their user profile. If you don't want them to use lexicons or hilites, just switch them off. When they visit the Surftrackr front-page, they won't see those menu options, and the URL to access them will also be unavailable. Note that any user flagged as a super-user will see all options regardless of their user profile settings.

It's been several weeks since I've packaged and released a new version of Surftrackr, so if I got something wrong please email me and put me right. Thanks.
